General Manager

Position Summary:
At Country Inn and Suites, the General Manager is the captain of our ship, steering the hotel to success! You'll lead our team, make big decisions, and make sure our guests have a great stay. If you love leading a team and creating a welcoming environment, this job is for you!
Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team to improve guest satisfaction and ensure a memorable experience.
- Manage daily operations including staffing, budgeting, and making strategic decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance profitability and efficiency.
- Address customer issues and ensure guest service is top-notch.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role, preferably in hospitality.
- Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages, typically up to 50 pounds.
- Standing and Walking: Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Bending and Reaching: Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting.
- Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination.
- Communication Skills: Clear verbal communication to interact with people.
